Applications due to CDD January 22 by 5:00 p.m.

The Center for Disabilities and Development (CDD), Iowa’s University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disability (UCEDD) seeks to fund up to seven (7) mini-grants of $4,000 each to community recreation or health programs. Funds are available to assist local entities in the development and sustainability of inclusive recreation and health programs or projects. Applicants are advised to use the Foundational Principles of Inclusive Recreation, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s Disability and Health website, resources from the National Center on Health, Physical Activity, and Disability, or other resources appropriate for the population when creating a proposal.

Program activities may include organizational assessment, policy development, community engagement, staff development, and program planning and implementation for inclusive recreation or health programs. Other activities leading toward sustainable and inclusive programs will also be considered.

RFP released December 30, 2019. Proposals due January 22, 2020. Question and answer Zoom Meeting will take place January 9 at noon.
