Iowa's Free Residential STEM Summer Camp
Camp will be in session June 18 - June 30, 2023
The Iowa National Summer Transportation Institute--Iowa NSTI--offers 12 days of learning and fun at a free residential summer camp based in Iowa City for students who will be in 7th, 8th, or 9th grade during the 2023-24 school year. Students of color, young women, and youth with and without disabilities from around the state are encouraged to apply.
Iowa NSTI focuses on STEM education, careers in the transportation industry, leadership, college readiness, and more through hands-on activities, university lab tours, local and statewide field trips, and other campus activities. Campers will stay in University of Iowa dormitories.
INSTI is hosted by Iowa's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities. It is offered in collaboration with the Civil Rights Bureau of the Iowa Department of Transportation and funded through the US Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration.
